In the Kherson region, explosives detected and neutralized the Russian Tochka-U missile
They found an unexploded Russian rocket in a field near one of the settlements of the Chornobayev territorial community. Explosives determined that it did not detonate, and the combat part remained intact.
The found missile is part of the Soviet “Point-U” model with a combat part in the form of a modified aircraft bomb. Taking into account the angle at which it entered the ground, it is established that its launch took place from the temporarily occupied territories.
The blast wave from the detonation of this missile should have been very strong. Therefore, for the safety of citizens, it was decided to transport the deadly find to a safer place and neutralize it in compliance with all norms.
The combat part was buried in the pit so that the soil took over the main detonation, and the debris did not fly far away. Thanks to the joint coordinated work of the explosives technicians of the Kherson region police and their colleagues, the missile was successfully defused as safely as possible for residents of the settlement and police officers.
Police explosives continue to evacuate settlements in the de-occupied Kherson region and make these areas safer. Remember that in case of detection of explosive objects - in no case do not touch or step on it, because it can detonate. Call 101 or 102 immediately.
