In Kherson region, deputies of the settlement council will be tried for treason
The 44-year-old deputy of the Belozersk settlement council during the Russian occupation switched to the side of the aggressor country. At the moment, police investigators have sent an indictment against the traitor to the court.
According to the deputy chief of police of the Kherson region Mykola Verbytsky, during the occupation, the deputy switched to the side of the enemy and agreed to act under the direction and instructions of the occupation authorities of the Russian Federation.
At the beginning of August last year, the defendant voluntarily wrote an application for appointing him to the post of deputy chief physician for technical issues of the hospital “Gbuz of the Kherson region Belozera Central Bank”, illegally created by the occupation administration.
Investigators found that the defendant was engaged in the procurement of inventories, inventory and transfer of property to the hospital, negotiated with business entities registered under Russian law, and organized the conclusion of transactions between entrepreneurs and illegally created the occupation administration of the Russian Federation hospital.
All calculations were under the control of the pseudo-deputy chief physician and were made in Russian currency. The defendant also called on the employees of the medical institution and local residents to cooperate with representatives of the aggressor country.
On the eve of the de-occupation of Kherson, the attacker fled to the left bank. Therefore, a report of suspicion of committing a crime provided for in Part 2 of Art. 111 “State treason” of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, he was declared in absentia.
At present, the investigators have collected enough evidence to charge the deputy and, with the approval of the regional prosecutor's office, the indictment was sent to the court.
For treason under martial law, punishment is provided in the form of imprisonment for 15 years or life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
