First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Yevhenii Yenin joined the national tele-marathon “United News”, where he told about the actions of the employees of the State Emergency Service and the National Police on the demining of the de-occupied territory, international cooperation in this direction, named the number of defused explosive objects, informed about the stable de-occupation measures in the de-occupied territories.

According to Yevgeny Yenin, the pace of demining will accelerate in the near future, because the Government has developed a serious step in this direction, having already doubled the number of pyrotechnics. On the agenda is an additional increase in the number of these specialists by another 500 people. The explosives service of the National Police is also developing.

He also noted that the field of demining largely depends on the special equipment that international partners promise to supply Ukraine. This work is ongoing. Thus, at the initiative of President Vladimir Zelensky, the Canadian government promised to provide special vehicles for demining.

“Currently, an active survey of the de-occupied territory continues. For example, almost 400 hectares, about 300 km of roads, 160 km of power lines, tens of kilometers of gas pipelines and railway tracks have already been surveyed in the Kherson region. About 5,000 explosive objects have been identified and defused in the region. In this process, the pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service are assisted by the explosives equipment of the National Police,” the First Deputy Minister informed.

In general, all structures that are part of the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are actively deployed on the territory of the region. In particular, the police provide stabilization measures to ensure law and order in more than 200 settlements, where approximately 160 thousand citizens currently live.

“The work of 7 police units has been restored. Investigators are already documenting the war crimes of the invaders, facts of collaborationism, 564 relevant criminal proceedings have been registered. 41 people were detained who may be involved in cooperation with the enemy. In this work, the experience gained during the de-occupation of the northern regions of Ukraine and Kharkiv region, when law enforcement officers were able to actively involve our citizens in cooperation,” Yevhenii Yenin noted.

He also said that from time to time our border guards record the activities of DRG who enter our territory from Belarus. Usually, after coming into contact with our law enforcement or military personnel, such enemy groups leave. At present, a sufficiently powerful engineering arrangement along the Belarusian border line has been provided in order to minimize the activities of sabotage and reconnaissance groups here.
