In Kherson region, police patrol areas to identify people in need of help
On the right bank of the Kherson region, evacuation work is underway to rescue people who are in flooded areas due to the explosion of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power plant by Russian troops. In total, more than 750 police officers were involved in the evacuation.
Additional police observation posts are set up in settlements. Police officers also patrol the flooded streets of the regional center, villages and towns to prevent cases of looting and identify those citizens who may be trapped in the water. The work to save people continues.
In addition, over the past day, the police responded to 523 applications and notifications of citizens. 18 criminal proceedings have been opened under Art. 438 (Violation of the laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
