In Kherson region, police recorded 11 war crimes against civilians
Over the past day, police officers opened 11 criminal proceedings for crimes committed by Russian invaders against civilians. Among them are cooperation activities, the hijacking of vehicles, the destruction of 13 hectares of forest and 20 hectares of wheat crops due to shelling from Smerch and Hurricane rocket systems.
Two criminal proceedings have been opened under Article 111-1 “Collaborative activities” of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. In Kherson, a kindergarten worker began cooperation with the Russians and headed the occupation “education department”. A woman faces up to three years in prison with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of ten to fifteen years.
In the temporarily occupied city of Gola Pristan, a 32-year-old woman took the side of the enemy and from the very beginning of the occupation cooperated with the newly appointed occupation authorities. In addition, 8 criminal proceedings have been initiated under Article 438 (Violation of the laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
As a result of the fighting, a pine forest was set on fire on the territory of the Gornostaev territorial community. Also in the Kakhovsky district due to hostilities, wheat crops were set on fire.
