In Kherson region, the collaborator was informed of the suspicion and taken into custody
A 48-year-old local resident of Kalinovskaya settlement community, Beryslav district during the temporary occupation switched to the side of the enemy. He actively cooperated with Russian servicemen: he reported on citizens who were participants in self-defense, had weapons and could counter the enemy, and also participated in illegal searches.
In May, he handed over to the Russian invaders and militants the so-called “dnr” a local resident whose son was a member of the local self-defense force. The occupiers held the man in the basement, beat and tortured with a stun gun. Thus, they forced him to confess to cooperation with the Armed Forces of Ukraine and demanded money.
Also, the traitor helped the servicemen of the Russian troops not to get into the encirclement and avoid capture - he drove the crew of the Russian BTR, which broke down, from the village of Kalinovske, Kherson region, in the direction of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power plant, bypassing the positions of the Ukrainian defenders.
During the search at the place of residence of the accused, the police seized 3 grenades and ammunition.
The suspect is in custody.
For committing this crime, the defendant faces punishment in the form of life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The criminal activities of the defendant were documented by the investigative department of the organization for the investigation of crimes committed in the conditions of armed conflict, the Main Investigative Department of the National Police of Ukraine under the operational support of the SBU of Ukraine.
