Kharkiv region awarded state awards to families of dead border guards
Two families of the soldiers of the Kharkiv Border Detachment, who died while performing combat missions, were presented with state awards.
For personal courage and selfless actions in defense of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, loyalty to the Military Oath of Master Sergeant Igor Knyazev and Master Sergeant Sergey Markov were awarded the Order “For Courage” of the 3rd degree by the Decree of the President of Ukraine (posthumously).
A moment of silence commemorated the memory of our heroes-border guards who bravely and selflessly served for the future of the Ukrainian people and state.
“Unfortunately, Russia's armed aggression against our country continues and takes the lives of our best people. Igor Knyazev and Sergey Markov courageously defended Ukraine from the Russian invaders and gave for its freedom and independence the most precious thing — their own lives. Low bow to you and boundless gratitude”, - said the acting head of the Kharkiv border detachment Colonel Oleksandr Mykhailyuk.
Eternal and bright memory to the fallen Defenders of Ukraine.
