In Kharkiv region, the chairman of the village council is suspected of treason
Employees of the Regional Directorate of Strategic Investigations of the National Police, together with colleagues from other law enforcement agencies, continue measures to expose persons who contributed to the enemy by their actions.
It was established that the head of one of the village councils of the region, supporting the actions of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, transmitted enemy information about the placement of positions and the movement of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Law enforcement officers detained the official in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. On the basis of the evidence received, she was informed of the suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 111 (State treason) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and chose a preventive measure in the form of detention.
Measures to expose and document illegal activities were carried out jointly with the SBU in Kharkiv region under the procedural guidance of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
