Doctors and IT specialists who specialized in transporting men across the border were exposed in Volyn
Criminal proceedings have been initiated on the basis of the materials of the State Border Guard Service operatives.
Operatives of the Volyn Border Detachment, together with the employees of the Department of Strategic Investigations and the investigators of the National Police under the procedural guidance of the Kovel District Prosecutor's Office, stopped the activities of the organized crime group, which established a scheme of illegal transportation of men across the Ukrainian-Polish border external age.
Residents of Kovel region, doctors from military medical commissions and IT specialists who forged various kinds of seals and certificates, in particular about deferment from conscription and conclusions about unsuitability for military service in wartime, came into view.
In the future, evaders on completely legal documents freely traveled outside the state. In total, criminals managed to illegally smuggle more than 30 people across the border. For such services, “clients” paid merchants from 5 to 10 thousand US dollars.
Law enforcement officers carried out a tremendous amount of work on documenting and collecting evidence of illegal activities. Interdepartmental groups detained the main defendants of criminal proceedings and conducted sanctioned searches in them. As a result, significant amounts of cash, forged documents, forms, bank cards, telephones and office equipment were seized. At the same time, in the dwellings and vehicles of the participants of the criminal group, law enforcement officers found and seized weapons and drugs.
The pre-trial investigation is currently ongoing.
