In Volyn, border guards detained two violators who tried to enter Poland
Employees of the department “Morozovichi” stopped two men who intended to illegally cross the Ukrainian-Polish border.
While patrolling the area, the border outfit discovered a trail of footprints that led towards the state border. As a result of search measures, law enforcement officers exposed a 36-year-old citizen of Ukraine. The man confessed to the border guards that he was heading to Poland.
Another offender was detained by the outfit a few hundred meters to the state border. The man did not have any documents with him, but he told the border guards that he was a resident of Zhytomyr and hoped to get abroad outside the checkpoints.
For offenders, protocols were drawn up under Article 204-1 (Illegal crossing or attempted illegal crossing of the state border of Ukraine) of the KUPap. Now the men will have to answer in court.
