Smart City system presented in Ladyzhyn in Vinnytsia region
At the local level, the police worked on the implementation of the project for 7 months: from concept to writing software, setting up algorithms and implementing the concept of a safe environment using modern technologies.
The presentation of the project was attended by the Head of the Regional Head Ivan Ishchenko, the Head of the Regional Military Administration Serhiy Borzov, the People's Deputy of Ukraine Irina Borzova, the Chairman of the Vinnytsia Regional Council Viacheslav Sokolovy, the Acting Chairman of the Ladyzhyn City Council Oleksandr Kolomiets, the head of the police of the city of Ladyzhyn and representatives of local businesses, who took an active part in the implementation of the project.
The presentation of the functions of the system took place in the form of a dialogue. Igor Volokitenko, Deputy Head of the GUNP in Vinnytsia Oblast, spoke with the guests, answered questions and explained why this system is important for Ukraine.
The event began with a demonstration of modern inventions that already make life easier and safer for Ukrainians - smart traffic lights, cameras, sensors. At the second location, using 3D modeling technology, they talked about the main functions of the Smart City system.
As noted by the Deputy Chief of Police of Vinnytsia Oblast, the installed CCTV cameras and sensors record various events around the clock and in real time transmit data to the newly created situation center. The organization of the “smart center” uses the concept of open space, state-of-the-art monitors and control systems. “Heart of a smart city” - analytical (brain) server.
It is thanks to software that processes large amounts of information that the system is able to scan faces, determine fires at a distance, search for lost people (special attention was paid to the search for missing children), warn about dangerous objects, detect non-standard human behavior (if, suddenly, a passerby becomes evil) and track potential Violators: motorists and pedestrians.
Round-the-clock video monitoring encompasses community streets, hospitals, colleges, schools, and preschool institutions. Cameras from commercial structures can be connected to the Smart City system and thus the network can expand.
However, the state of security in the city is monitored not only with the help of cameras and sensors. Special drones allow you to quickly get images from areas where it is difficult to reach by land. The plus of these drones is the efficiency and autonomy. They can quickly fly to any corner of the city, and after completing the task, they independently return to a special base, where they restore the battery charge.
Special interest among the guests of the presentation was caused by a car with the “Wanted Detection System”. The car allows you to scan license plates and immediately display all the information on the police officer's tablet. That is, stopping the offender, the law enforcement officer will have all the data to properly build a dialogue with a citizen.
In addition, Igor Volokitenko explained that with the help of VR technology, the investigative and operational team can be at the scene of the incident hundreds of kilometers away and help in the investigation. The policeman wears a virtual reality helmet, and there is a camera on site that transmits 360-degree video online.
Also, the community police officer, thanks to a tablet connected to the “smart city”, will be able to watch online video from surveillance cameras, statistics, archive records, analytics, and identify problematic issues in the community and quickly solve them.
Also, the guests were presented with innovations that can improve the lives of citizens. This is a remote traffic control system that helps to unload the streets during “peak hours”. Smart parking speeds up the process of finding a free parking space with the help of a special application and sensors that track the availability of parking spaces online. Analyzers of air quality, level of silence, sound scanners that are able to detect cries for help or shots and immediately signal to law enforcement officers about an incident.
The head of the police of Vinnytsia region Ivan Ishchenko noted that Smart City will soon work in Mogilev-Podolsk and Vinnytsia. And he added, - the unique architecture used in the construction of the Smart City system will significantly reduce the costs of the community for its development and improve the interaction of local authorities and the law enforcement system.
