In Vinnytsia region, the police detained the assistant judge and the secretary during their receipt of illegal benefits (VIDEO)
While in the criminal conspiracy, the 43-year-old assistant and the 64-year-old secretary, demanded $2,000 from the accused for influencing the judge in giving him the “right sentence”.
It is known that the attackers demanded money from a resident of the Vinnytsia district, whose case is currently under trial. They promised to influence the decision-making process in his case so that he would not be given a sentence related to imprisonment.
The defendants were detained by USR operatives in Vinnytsia region together with KORD fighters after they received 1500 dollars.
Corruption crime was documented by the investigators of the Investigative Department together with the operatives of the Strategic Investigations Department under the procedural guidance of the Vinnytsia Regional Prosecutor's Office.
The transfer of funds took place near the administrative premises of the court before the start of the hearing of the case in court.
The actions of intruders are documented within the framework of open criminal proceedings under Part 3 of Art. 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Abuse of influence).
Such a crime is punishable by imprisonment for up to eight years with confiscation of property.
