On a call to his own family: Odessa rescuer freed his wife and daughter from the house into which the rocket flew
On December 29, 2023, during a massive enemy attack on Ukraine, a Russian missile hit a high-rise building in Odessa. The apartment of the firefighter Pavel Kharchevsky was at the epicenter of the attack.
At the time, his wife, also an employee of the State Emergency Service, and their 3-year-old daughter were at home. Lyubov Kharchevskaya said that she was sure that if she informed Paul that there was an arrival and on the floor below the fire, then he would arrive one of the very first. So it happened.
Emergency rescue worker Pavel Kharchevsky arrived at the landing site, rescued his girls and remained there until the end of the rescue operation.
