The 19-year-old professional choreographer devoted more than ten years of his life to his favorite cause. Thanks to the firmness of character and many years of work, he managed to win gold not only at the championship of Ukraine, but also in Europe. At one time, he taught children ballroom dancing at his school in Lviv region. Now Ernest is defending Ukraine in the ranks of the National Guard of Ukraine.

“As a child, I tried different directions of dance: hip-hop, break dance and many others. But the ballrooms still hooked me. Because they are luxurious, elegant. There is gravity, there you show yourself. In general, this is a very beautiful kind of sports dancing, from which it is impossible to take your eyes off,” says the guard.

Ernest participated in championships and competitions of various categories, species in almost all corners of Ukraine and abroad. In Italy, they and a partner won the title of vice-champions of Europe.

“We worked for five years. During this time we have been to many places, seen a lot... Even sometimes our hands were lowered. But the heat of the competition is very motivating, because in each lesson you invest yourself, your strength and a lot of time. It took six to seven hours to class before the performances, it happened that the other day they were engaged, they did not leave the hall,” Ernest recalls.

The guy did not stop for a moment, so he also taught ballroom dancing to children in parallel.

“I started my own business, but six months later the subpoena came. I decided that I had to go this way, and only then plan my life. Reading the Oath, putting on the uniform, you understand that now your task is to stand in defense of everything that is valuable to you - to defend the Motherland,” Ernest says.

The guy served in Energodar in the military unit of the National Guard of Ukraine. After the full-scale offensive of the Russian Federation on Ukraine, it maintains its defense in the Zaporizhzhya direction.

“In my opinion, the person sitting on the other side of the border does not understand what he is doing, he only needs power. But how many people died because of these desires. How much violence. I am outraged by the cruelty of an enemy that mutilates people, innocent children. It does not fit in the head,” the soldier said.

Ernest emphasizes that he is very proud of the whole of Ukraine and how it fights for its freedom in the war with the enemy:

“Looking at the battle maps, how our guys “tear” them apart, honestly, they have great praise and gratitude for chasing them off our land. In war, as in dance sports, hard work only for the sake of victory.”

The National Guard is confident that after the end of the war, he will continue his stellar path in ballroom dancing — he will open more than one school in Ukraine and will work to raise real Ukrainian dance champions. But now, like all Ukrainians, he will do everything to expel the invaders from his native land.
