This was emphasized today, March 30, by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko during a working meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada to Ukraine Larisa Galadza, talking about the formation of assault brigades of the “Guard of Offensive”.
At the beginning of the event, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs expressed his gratitude to the Canadian delegation: “Canada has sheltered many of our Ukrainians and we are grateful to you for the tangible support you have provided since the first day of the full-scale invasion.”
Speaking about the personnel of the “Guard of the Offensive” brigades, Igor Klymenko stressed that it consists of policemen, border guards and guards who have been participating in hostilities since 2014 in the east of the state.
“These fighters became the cornerstone of the formation of the “Guard of Offensive”. The replenishment takes place among volunteers, who also mostly have combat experience,” the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
The Minister informed that he recently visited such a brigade of the border service “Steel Border” and noted that the volunteers are extremely motivated.
Igor Klymenko noted that currently the Ministry is working on the introduction of a new system of social protection, medical rehabilitation and psychological support for employees and employees of the bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Larysa Galadza expressed gratitude to the Ukrainian side for the reliable partnership: “I hope that the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine will feel the support of Canada in working and achieving your priority tasks.”
At the end of the meeting, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary stressed that Canada cooperates with the Ministry in training and training the Patrol Police and the National Guard.
