In Sumy region, a significant part of the unique linorites dedicated to the Holodomor have been saved
On July 29, an enemy rocket destroyed the training building of Sumy Interregional Higher Vocational School, where the Holodomor Resistance Research Center in Sumy region was located.
From the beginning of its opening there was a unique exhibition of graphic drawings by Nikolai Bondarenko “Ukraine — 1933: a cookbook. Human memory.” The exposition consisted of 89 works.
After the missile attack of the Russians, unique works, thanks to which almost the whole world learned about the Genocide of Ukrainians, were under the rubble.
However, thanks to the responsible and coordinated work of the units of the State Emergency Service of Sumy region, the help of the staff of the institution and volunteers, most of Mykola Bondarenko's linorites — 66 engravings — were saved.
