During April 16, in the Shostkin district of Sumy region, rescuers provided various assistance to the wards of the psychoneurological boarding school, which was hit by an enemy airstrike.
In addition to carrying out emergency search works, the staff of this institution was actively assisted, the surviving property, medical equipment and documentation of the institution was searched.
Together with representatives of local self-government bodies, special transport was prepared for the movement of wards. Employees of the State Emergency Service and staff of the boarding school helped the victims to get on the buses. In parallel with this, rescuers were transported to the prepared ambulances of the boarding school wards, which could not move on their own.
In total, more than 160 boarding school wards were evacuated to safer places.
