In Sumy region, rescuers extinguished fires caused by enemy shelling twice a day
Yesterday, April 24, the rescuers of the State Emergency Service were twice involved in eliminating the consequences of enemy strikes in the region. Due to shelling from the aggressor country, dry vegetation was set on fire on a large area in one of the settlements of Sumy district.
During the extinguishing, it was possible to divert the danger from the forest mass and the housing sector, in the direction of which the flame quickly moved and to eliminate the fire.
And in the Shostkin district, in one of the settlements, the branch of the state fire and rescue unit together with the local fire brigade tamed the fire of an apartment building, which was caused by enemy shelling.
Firefighters localized the fire that engulfed the building throughout the square, preventing it from tipping over to 2 neighboring outbuildings and eliminated the fire.
