A 12-year-old boy drowned in the river Styr in Rivne region
On July 2, at 17:35 the “101” hotline received a report that a child had drowned in the village of Babka of the Varas urban territorial community in the Styr River.
Upon arrival at the place of call rescuers of the 12th state fire and rescue department of the city. Varash and divers from the White Lake emergency rescue team began the search.
At 20:40 the body of a 12-year-old boy was lifted ashore by divers.
Subsequently, it was found that two teenagers began to drown while swimming in the river. One of them managed to save a fisherman who was nearby and heard cries for help. Another boy disappeared under the water.
Rescuers once again urge people to observe safety rules while resting on water bodies. Separately appeal to parents - do not allow children to relax near water bodies.
