On the account of the soldiers of the State Border Guard Service — two more “Shahed-136" were shot down
Two more “shaheeds” shot down by border guards during the previous massive attack by the Rashists on the port infrastructure of Ukraine on the Danube have been confirmed.
The maritime border guards acted as part of a group of heterogeneous forces to defend the south of Ukraine. With the onset of an air alarm at the signal “to battle!” fire groups took up designated positions.
At night, which the enemy tries to use for their own benefit, the border guards fired on enemy drones with small arms, focusing mainly on the characteristic sound. As a result, 2 deadly drones were destroyed. One of them exploded right in the air.
It should be noted that fire groups from the border units are an additional reinforcement of the air defense forces of the region.
Recall that during the last attack of the Rashists, the border guards of the Izmail detachment landed two enemy “shaheds”.
The effective work of border guards against deadly enemy drones was noted by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“I will mention the soldiers of the Izmail border detachment, who, together with the naval units, counteract the Russian attacks by the “shaheeds”. In general, terrorists have already launched at least 1961 “shaheeds” against Ukraine, and a significant part has been shot down,” Volodymyr Zelensky said in his address at the end of the 526th day of full-scale war.
