In Poltava region, police officers exposed the director of the agency in appropriation of humanitarian cargo
The Investigative Department of the Police, under the operational support of the Department for the Protection of Public and State Interests of the Regional Police Department and the Procedural Leadership of the Poltava Regional Prosecutor's Office, documented the fact of appropriation of humanitarian assistance provided by volunteers of a foreign foundation.
According to the deputy head of the GUNP in the Poltava region Serhiy Rekun, the director of one of the agencies is suspected of concealing from the authorized persons of the Poltava Regional Military Administration the fact of receiving humanitarian cargo from volunteers for displaced persons from Sumy and Kharkiv of the regions. The cost of appropriated humanitarian assistance is more than 200 thousand hryvnias.
“In order to hide the illegal actions with the property, the woman forged the acts of granting humanitarian assistance. Among the goods hidden from accounting: medical equipment, food, food and clothing for children, shoes, bed linen, hygiene products, electronic means for measuring pressure, etc. The defendant was informed of the suspicion of the appropriation of the entrusted property, committed under the conditions of martial law, as well as the forgery of an official document and its use. A petition was sent to the court to elect a precautionary measure,” Serhiy Rekun noted.
The Investigative Department under the procedural guidance of the Poltava Regional Prosecutor's Office carries out a pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings opened under Part 4 of Art. 191 and Part 1, 4 of Art. 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
