Mobile safety classes launched by the Ministry of Internal Affairs together with UNICEF in October have already taught 69 thousand children
In Poltava region, First Lady Elena Zelenska got acquainted with the work of mobile security classes, where she was able to see how police and rescuers conduct classes with children. The event was also attended by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Ekaterina Pavlichenko.
Mobile classrooms were introduced by the Ministry of Internal Affairs in October 2023 in cooperation with the UN Children's Fund “UNICEF”. 15 such classrooms operate in remote areas and communities.
Thanks to mobile safety classes attended by almost 1200 schools, children will know how to act in dangerous situations on roads, reservoirs and how to avoid threats on the Internet. Such classes have already been attended by more than 69,000 children.
“Today, security threats are an important challenge for both schools and parents. Therefore, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine has created a model according to which classes are held not only in mobile security classrooms, but also school officers are involved. Police and rescuers jointly form a culture of security among Ukrainian children,” said Kateryna Pavlichenko.
