On the outskirts of Bakhmut, the guards destroyed 180 people of the enemy
During the past week, units of the 3rd Operational Brigade named after Colonel Petro Bolbochan in the fighting on the outskirts of Bakhmut destroyed about 180 occupiers and captured one mercenary from the Wagner PKK.
“As a result of artillery strikes and massive fire damage, the enemy tried to break through our defenses in Bakhmut, where units of the 3rd Operational Brigade named after Colonel Petro Bolbočan give a decent repulse to the enemy, which killed about 180 people during the week. And on February 26, in the area of Bakhmut, one of the members of the PKK “Wagner” was captured. The prisoner was transferred to the military counterintelligence officers,” said Colonel Mykola Urshalovych, Deputy Director of the Dept. of Application Planning of the Main Directorate of NGU.
According to him, in the Bakhmut direction the enemy continues to suffer losses.
Separately, Colonel Mykola Urshalovich noted the battalion commander of the 5th Slobozhanska Brigade of the NGU Lieutenant Colonel Igor Zinchenko, who, having received a wound during the combat task, continued to lead the unit. Thanks to the skillful and decisive actions of the personnel under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Zinchenko, the attack of the overwhelming forces of the enemy in the area of Kreminna was repelled.
At the same time, thanks to the professional actions of the soldiers of the 14th Operational Brigade named after Ivan Bogun NGU, the attempts of the Russian troops to advance in the direction of Sporny did not even lead to tactical successes and the line of contact of the parties did not undergo significant changes. In a week in this direction, the soldiers of the brigade destroyed about 65 Russian servicemen.
Units of the National Guard of Ukraine take part in repelling armed aggression on all borders and directions where hostilities are conducted.
