In Odesa region, border guards found 750 thousand hryvnias and herbicides in the gas cylinder of the car “Honda”
Border guards of the Izmail detachment at the ferry checkpoint “Orlivka” discovered a significant amount of funds and chemicals used to combat unwanted vegetation.
A 30-year-old citizen of Ukraine on a Honda car left Ukraine. During the inspection, the attention of the inspection team attracted the attention of a gas cylinder mounted inside the luggage compartment in a niche for the spare wheel.
During dismantling, the border guards noticed that from below the cylinder was partially sealed with an insulating film. It turned out that there was a carefully equipped storage room, from which 750 thousand hryvnias and 34 plastic jars with herbicides were extracted.
At the moment, a protocol on violation of customs rules has been drawn up against the driver, money and substances have been seized pending a court decision.
