In Odesa region, border guards have eliminated the channel of illegal transportation of persons across the border
Border guards of the Belgorod-Dnestrovsky detachment detained the organizer and his accomplices during an attempt to illegally transfer two men of conscription age across the state border.
The organizers of the criminal scheme were local residents of the Odessa region, aged 24, 31 and 37 years. To realize their transaction, the men registered a telegram channel, which was used by two residents of Vinnytsia and Kharkiv regions. For illegal transportation services, dealers ruled from 1500 to 3800 US dollars from each.
During the search, the defendants in the case seized funds in the amount of $10300, probably received from illegal actions.
On the grounds of committing a criminal offense under Article 332 of the Criminal Code “Illegal transfer of persons across the state border of Ukraine”, criminals face punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to 9 years.
Measures to eliminate the channel of illegal transportation of persons across the state border were carried out by the operatives of the Belgorod-Dnestrovsky and Podolsk border detachments together with the internal and own security officers of the State Fiscal Service, Department of Migration Police under the procedural guidance of the Belgorod-Dnestrov District Prosecutor's Office.
