Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko said that today there was a meeting chaired by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmyhal on the elimination of the consequences of the disaster at the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant as a result of its subversion by Russian occupiers.
“We discussed the issue of providing technical capabilities for the elimination of an emergency in the Kherson region, providing citizens with water, gas, energy supply, evacuation from flooded areas and compensation for losses to victims,” said the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko.
Also Igor Klymenko spoke about the work of the Headquarters for the elimination of the consequences of the disaster at the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power plant. He noted that the Headquarters works in the usual mode, that is, around the clock. Water quality is constantly monitored, laboratory tests are carried out every two hours to prevent the spread of diseases.
“The work to eliminate the consequences of the disaster at the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant continues tirelessly, in order to return normal life to the victims as soon as possible,” Ihor Klymenko noted.
