Wheat field and forest strip caught fire in Mykolaiv region due to careless handling of fire: rescuers eliminated fire
Firefighters continue to record incidents of fires in the fields. Careless handling of fire or deliberate arson leads to large-scale fires in the fields.
On July 16 at 10:50 the rescuers of the State Emergency Service in the Nikolaev area received reports of burning wheat at the root, crop residues and forest strip outside the village. Red Voskresensk territorial community of Mykolaiv district.
Arriving, by operational actions, using fire barrels on improvised means, it was possible to localize and eliminate the burning on an area of 10 hectares. The fire also destroyed the VAZ 2103 car, damaged two more forest strips and the irrigation console. Thanks to the professional actions of firefighters, a field of wheat on the root with an area of more than 70 hectares was saved.
Rescuers emphasize the need to comply with fire safety rules in ecosystems, especially during the fire danger period. We also remind you that there is administrative and criminal liability for unauthorized burning.
