In Mykolaiv region, law enforcement officers arrested assets of Belarusian enterprises for 50 million hryvnias
The police established that several legal entities, the owners of which are residents of the Republic of Belarus, carried out economic activities on the territory of the region. Revenues from their activities went to the budget of the Russian Federation and could be used in the future to support the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
Investigators of the Investigative Department of the Regional Head of Police, with the prompt support of the employees of the Department of Strategic Investigations in the Nikolaev area and under the procedural guidance of the regional prosecutor's office, conducted a number of searches on the territories of enterprises in several districts of the region.
During the investigative measures, law enforcement officers stopped the activities of two modular asphalt plants. Also discovered and seized special equipment and vehicles of the company that carried out the repair of the road surface. Both enterprises belong to the economic entities of the Republic of Belarus.
The preliminary value of the discovered property is 50 million hryvnias.
Currently, the investigation of the criminal proceedings initiated under Part 2 of Art. 110-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine “Financing actions committed with the aim of forcibly changing or overthrowing the constitutional order or seizing state power, changing the boundaries of the territory or state border of Ukraine”.
The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for up to seven years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of up to two years and with confiscation of property.
In the future, in accordance with the procedure established by law, special equipment, equipment and vehicles will be transferred to the National Agency of Ukraine for the detection, search and management of assets obtained from corruption and other crimes.
