Ukrainian wanted man detained at border with Slovakia
At the checkpoint “Uzhgorod” border guards of the Chopsky detachment found a citizen of Ukraine who was wanted on suspicion of committing crimes related to the sale and smuggling of narcotic substances.
During the verification of the documents of one of the passengers of a passenger car of Ukrainian registration, the operation of the departmental database was recorded. It turned out that a 43-year-old resident of Ternopol is wanted on suspicion of having committed criminal offenses provided for in Part 2 of Article 305 (smuggling of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, their analogues or precursors or counterfeit medicines) and part 2 of Article 307 (illegal production, manufacture, purchase, storage, transportation, shipment or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian citizen was not allowed to cross the border. After the completion of the priority measures, the detainee was handed over to law enforcement agencies.
