A group of foreigners detained at the border with Slovakia
Today, May 30, at night, the soldiers of the Chop Detachment detained a group of foreigners who tried to illegally enter Slovakia, and a few hours later — another person.
The border patrol, which also included cadets from the universities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, found three unknown Asian appearance on the outskirts of the city of Uzhgorod. Two had with them passport documents of Indian citizens, the third - a certificate from the Gudms of Ukraine about the loss of passport documents of an Iraqi citizen.
A few hours later, another offender was detained in the same direction. The movement of the suspicious person in the direction of Slovakia was noticed by the operative of the detachment. Together with a response team sent from the Uzhgorod department, the soldiers managed to detain the man 350 meters from the border. He had no documents with him and called himself a citizen of Nepal. During the verification measures, law enforcement officers established that this is not the first time a foreigner tries to illegally cross the border. At the end of January this year, he was detained at the site of the Uzhgorod department as he tried to make his way to EU countries as part of a group of individuals.
In order to clarify all the circumstances of the offense, foreigners were taken to the border unit. Once the person is established, they will be held accountable under Art. 204-1 KUPAP “Illegal crossing or attempted illegal crossing of the state border of Ukraine”. The cases of foreigners will be taken to court.
