Tobacco smuggling was exposed at the border with Poland
The attempt to illegally move tobacco products with concealment was stopped by border guards together with customs officers at the Shehyny checkpoint in Lviv region.
Tonight, a Fiat minibus headed by a 27-year-old Ukrainian followed to a neighboring country.
Based on the analysis and risk assessment, the vehicle was directed for additional inspection. Subsequently, observers, with the involvement of a service dog, discovered a hidden contraband smoke. Under the cover of the minibus, the man hid more than 2 thousand packs of cigarettes of various names without stamps of excise duty of Ukraine.
On this fact, customs officers drew up a protocol. Tobacco products and the 2015 minibus have been withdrawn in the prescribed manner. The amount of the estimate will be set additionally.
