More than 300 fake COVID certificates found at the border
Border guards continue to check COVID certificates confirming vaccination of citizens who have arrived in Ukraine.
Also, employees of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine check documents on a negative test result or recovery from illness. To do this, SafeBorder software is used at checkpoints at the state border.
Recently, border guards did not allow two citizens of the Russian Federation to Ukraine. Russians born in 1995 and 1998 went through the checkpoint “Novi Yarilovichi” and, in addition to passport documents, provided certificates of laboratory tests for coronavirus infection, when reading the QR code, no information was displayed.
In general, since the beginning of the year, with the help of SafeBorder software, border guards have checked COVID certificates from more than 500 thousand people who arrived in Ukraine. As a result of the check, more than 300 fake certificates were found.
Note that for the use of knowingly forged documents, criminal liability is provided for under Part 4 of Art. 358 Criminal Code “Forgery of documents, seals, stamps and forms, sale or use of forged documents, seals, stamps”.
