The Kyiv region presented the state award to the family of the deceased border guard
Colonel Oleg Trofimenko, the head of OKPP “Kyiv”, awarded the Order “For Courage” of the 3rd degree to the family of the fallen Hero of the Border Guard - Vadym Disavenko.
After Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Sergeant Vadim Disavenko left civilian life and defended his country. At the end of May 2022, Vadim Leonidovich joined the ranks of the State Border Guard Service. The man, together with his brothers, defended the borders in the Donetsk region.
The life of the border guard was terminated on January 4, 2023, during a combat mission to protect the territorial integrity of Ukraine, as a result of a wound that was incompatible with life.
By the Decree of the President of Ukraine, for personal courage and selfless actions in defense of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, loyalty to the Military Oath, Sergeant Vadim Dysavenko was awarded the Order “For Courage” of the 3rd degree (posthumously).
The state award was presented to the daughter of the border guard. Heroes do not die. They replenish the ranks of the heavenly troops.
