In Kyiv region, border guards discovered prohibited ammunition left by occupiers fleeing Ukraine
During the inspection of the territory of the border area of the Kiev region, where the Russian invaders were stationed in the spring of 2022, an unloading vest with documents and a token with the personal number of the serviceman of the aggressor country was found. Also found were 3 grenades and almost 650 rounds of 7.62mm caliber.
Note that among the munitions discovered was a K-51 hand grenade, prohibited as a means of warfare by the Chemical Weapons Convention and the Geneva Protocol.
Upon detection of ammunition and detection of signs of a criminal offense under Art. 438 of the Criminal Code “Violation of the laws and customs of war” sent a message to the National Police.
The events were held jointly with employees of the Security Service of Ukraine.
