In Kyiv region, police exposed clandestine production: excisable goods for UAH 2.5 million were seized
The defendants specialized in the manufacture and sale of alcohol and tobacco products.
Operatives of the Directorate of Strategic Investigations in the Kiev region together with the territorial department of the BEB in the Kiev region exposed the illegal activities of persons in the manufacture, storage and sale of excisable goods with and without counterfeit excise tax stamps, which pose a threat to the life and health of people.
Dealers by the “bush” method were engaged in the production of alcohol of various brands and sold wholesale and retail batches.
The police blocked the clandestine activity and conducted a search at the place of manufacture, storage of products. During the measures, 11,835 liters of alcohol and ready-to-market products, 6400 packs of cigarettes, excise tax stamps, containers, printing products, equipment for manufacturing and packaging, a car were seized. The amount of the seized property is 2.5 million UAH.
The pre-trial investigation continues under the procedural leadership of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office under Part 2 of Art. 199 (Manufacture, storage, acquisition, transportation, shipment, importation into Ukraine for use in the sale of goods, sale or sale of counterfeit money, state securities existing in paper form, state lottery tickets, excise tax stamps or holographic protective elements) and h. 3 Art. 204 (Illegal manufacture, storage, sale or transportation for the purpose of sale of excisable goods) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
A full circle of persons involved in illegal activities is established.
