In Kirovohrad region, police seized an arsenal of weapons and ammunition from a local resident
Law enforcement found that the man kept weapons and ammunition in the household of relatives. As a result of the authorized search, the police found and seized two Kalashnikov AKMS 7.62 mm automatic rifles, a subbarrel grenade launcher for the machine, 20 shells of F-1 grenades and sunk into them, as well as more than seven thousand rounds of 7.62 mm and 5.45 mm caliber.
The citizen was detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine”, — said the deputy chief of police of the region Serhiy Bukhinnyk.
The investigation is conducted under Part 1 of Art. 263 (illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for a punishment of three to seven years in prison.
