In Donetsk region, police have exposed a former “dnr” militant
Law enforcement officers previously convicted of participating in the illegal armed formation of the so-called “Donetsk People's Republic” in fraudulent transactions. He pretended to be an employee of the SBU.
At one of the checkpoints in the city of Kramatorsk, the police stopped the car “Nissan”, the driver of which provided the vehicle's identity documents to the Security Service of Ukraine. However, the man did not have documents confirming that he is an employee of this department. The police reported the incident to the employees of the Donetsk Department of Internal Security of the National Police.
Operatives of the UVB and the internal security of the USBU in Donetsk and Luhansk regions found that in the spring of 2022, a 41-year-old local resident, posing as an employee of the Main Directorate of the SBU in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, asked for volunteers as humanitarian assistance to transfer to the department behind the department SUV for the performance of official duties. Instead, the attacker provided the benefactors with fictitious documents, including a deed of acceptance and transfer of a vehicle with forged signatures of special service officials and the seal of the department.
Unsuspecting, the philanthropists handed over the car “Nissan Pathfinder Sport” brought from abroad to a pseudo-law enforcement officer, which he later used for personal needs.
It is worth noting that the man was previously part of the illegal armed formations of the “Donetsk People's Republic” and had already served his sentence for the crime stipulated by Art. 260 (Creation of paramilitary or armed formations not provided for by law) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
At the moment, investigators of the Donetsk region police announced the attacker on suspicion of part 2 of Art. 190 (Fraud), Part 1 of Art. 353 (Unauthorized assignment of authority or the title of an official) and Part 4 of Art. 358 (Forgery of documents, seals, stamps and forms, sale or use of forged documents, seals, stamps) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. His further fate will be decided by the court.
Procedural leadership is carried out by the Donetsk specialized prosecutor's office in the military and defense sphere of the combined forces.
