In Dnipropetrovsk region, police detained a 24-year-old man for the brutal murder of his wife
The attacker inflicted several knife wounds on the woman in the chest, then locked himself in the house and threatened to commit suicide. After four hours of negotiations with the participation of a psychologist and employees of the special unit CORD, the suspect was able to be detained.
The crime occurred on July 11 at about 23 pm in the village of Vasilkivka, Sinelnikovsky district. Police received a report of a quarrel between husband and wife. At the scene, employees of the criminal police of Sinelnikovsky RUP found a 24-year-old man who was intoxicated. He locked himself in the house and threatened to commit suicide if the police tried to enter the house.
Law enforcement officers tried for several hours to negotiate with an aggressive man. As a result, KORD employees detained a man during a special operation.
During a search in the house, the body of a 24-year-old woman was found with fatal knife wounds. The weapon of crime - a knife - was seized from the crime scene.
The attacker was detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. Investigators of the police department handed him a report of suspicion under Part 1 of Art. 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (premeditated murder).
