Joint patrols resumed on the Ukrainian-Moldovan state border
The border guards of the Izmail detachment resumed joint measures for the protection of the state border with the units of the Regional Office “South” of the Border Police of the Republic of Moldova.
There have already been 10 such patrols on the Ukrainian-Moldovan border.
Recall that these activities on the site of the Izmail detachment have been held since July 2012, in accordance with the Intergovernmental Agreement and the Interdepartmental Protocol on Joint Patrol of the Ukrainian-Moldovan State Border. However, due to the large-scale invasion of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine, they were not carried out.
Joint patrols make it possible to more effectively control the regime of the common border to prevent illegal crossing by persons, as well as to counteract cross-border crime.
