A memorial plaque was erected in honor of the officer of the brigade “Chervona Kalina” in Vinnytsia region
In Vinnytsia region, near the entrance of the Kalinovsky Technological Professional College, a memorial plaque was opened to the graduate of the educational institution and the officer of the 14th brigade “Chervona Kalina” to the senior lieutenant Oleksandr Hlushko. Hero died in fierce fighting for Ukraine on June 11, 2022.
After graduating from Kalinovsky Technological College, Alexander joined the National Academy of the National Guard of Ukraine in 2017. After graduation, he served in the military unit 3028 of the NGU. He was a fair and responsible commander who was respected and valued by his subordinates.
Alexander's mother Lyudmila Glushko remembers her son best: he was humane and a true patriot, all his subordinates respected him and asked for help.
“When he studied in technical school, he decided to pass a medical commission and go to study for military service in the National Guard. On February 25, Alexander went to defend Kiev. She did not see him for a long time, and already when the fighting in the Kiev region ended, she went to him. But we only saw each other for 5 minutes. During this time, many subordinates turned to him, saying: “Commander, we need help.” I was so glad to hear that he was treated with respect. And on June 5, he was transferred to the east. He did not tell me that he was leaving, and then I could not stand it anymore, there was no news from him. I think I'll write to him on Viber. He tells me that we are in Pavlograd. I looked at the map and saw that Pavlohrad is not the Dnieper. I ask Sanya where they are going, and he says that he was there a few months ago and I realized that they were being thrown into hell,” said the mother of the deceased.
The opening of the memorial plaque was attended by the parents, relatives and friends of Alexander Glushko, representatives of the authorities, teachers and students of the college, combat comrades.
He should have created a strong family, planted a garden, built a home, but... the war interrupted the young life at 25 years of life. Alexander died on June 11, 2022 as a result of the shelling of the city. Severodonetsk, Luhansk region.
Oleksandr was posthumously awarded the Order “For Courage III” by presidential decree and awarded the rank of senior lieutenant.
