Drug dealer detained in Chernihiv region and seized drugs and psychotropics worth one and a half million hryvnias
It was established that a resident of Chernihiv region ordered prohibited substances via the Internet in large volumes, packed and sent in bulk batches throughout the country. Sold the “goods” exclusively to a verified circle of persons, receiving funds for bank cards. The defendant is detained, investigators are preparing to hand him a report of suspicion.
The offender was exposed by the operatives of the Department for the Fight against Drug Crime in the Chernihiv region of the DBN of the National Police together with the employees of the GUNP in the Chernihiv region. It was established that a 32-year-old resident of Prilutsky district established the wholesale sale of drugs and psychotropic substances in bulk batches through postal items and establishments, exclusively to a verified circle of customers. Among the prohibited substances offered by the dealer are amphetamine, “alpha-PvP” and cannabis. Prohibited substances customers could receive by paying in advance for the order by transferring funds to a bank card.
Police detained a dealer near one of the post offices of Chernihiv region, he just received another batch of “goods”. During the inspection of his belongings, the police found a package containing two half-kilogram bags of amphetamine, and during the inspection of his car - packaged in doses of alpha-PvP and amphetamine, a notebook with “rough” notes, bank cards and a device for the use of psychotropic substances.
During an urgent search of the defendant's residence, police officers found 3.5 kg of chocolates containing psychotropic substances, about 500 g of amphetamine, about 200 g of “alpha-PvP”, as well as electronic scales and means for packing prohibited substances. The estimated cost of seized prohibited substances, at the prices of the “black” market, exceeds one and a half million hryvnias.
The defendant was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, currently investigators are preparing a report of suspicion for him under Part 2 of Art. 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, it is not the legal acquisition, storage, transportation, transfer or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues in large quantities. In addition, the car that the dealer used in his illegal activities was seized.
In accordance with the sanction of the incriminated article, the defendant faces punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to 10 years with confiscation of property. Procedural guidance in criminal proceedings is carried out by the Prylutsk District Prosecutor's Office.
