According to law enforcement officials, the woman received from a public organization humanitarian assistance for residents and terrorists of Novgorod-Seversk territorial community — food products, hygiene products, clothing and military ammunition.

Instead of delivering the humanitarian cargo to those in need, the defendant sold part of it. Subsequently, she agreed on the sale of the next batch for more than 460 thousand hryvnias. However, her criminal “business” plans were hindered by the operatives of the Directorate of Strategic Investigations in the Chernihiv region and the investigators of the Investigative Department of the Regional Police. Therefore, on August 22, police officers exposed the attacker during an attempt to sell property received as humanitarian aid.

Under the procedural guidance of the Novgorod-Seversky District Prosecutor's Office, the defendants reported their suspicion under Part 3 of Art. 15. Part 3 of Article 201-2 (sale of goods of humanitarian aid for profit) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

For the crime, the suspect may be threatened with imprisonment for a term of five to seven years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of up to three years and with confiscation of property.
