Organizers of illegal transportation of persons across the state border were detained in Bukovina
Three citizens of Ukraine, who organized the transfer of conscripted men, were detained in the Chernivtsi region.
The co-organizer, the guide and three evaders, residents of Sumy and Chernivtsi regions, were detained at the site of the “Nyzhni Petrivtsi” branch of the Chernivtsi detachment.
Within the framework of criminal proceedings under Part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the operatives of the Chernivtsi Detachment established that a local resident, having organized the transfer of three men of conscription age to Romania, received a reward of 3000 thousand to 5000 euros for each.
The co-organizer, the conductor and three military servicemen were detained by a joint interdepartmental group while receiving funds for illegal trafficking. Two vehicles were also seized, with which the offenders were brought to the border.
In addition, in the city of Chernivtsi, in accordance with Article 208 of the CPC, a defendant in criminal proceedings was detained and reported on suspicion of committing a criminal offense provided for in Part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code “Illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine.
During the search at the place of residence of the defendant, law enforcement officers seized documents, mobile terminals and money received by criminal means.
For the illegal transfer of persons across the state border of Ukraine, men face punishment in the form of imprisonment for a period of 7 to 9 years.
