Another police station opened in Bukovina
A new office of community police officers was opened in Kamiansk territorial community of Chernivtsi district.
The police station is located in the center of the village of Kamiana in the local House of Culture. Two community police officers work here: police captain Roman Leontiy and police lieutenant Grigory Gresko.
Law enforcement officers serve almost 11 thousand people living in the villages of Hlybochok, Dubove, Zavoloka, Kamiana, Mikhalcha, Spaska and Stari Broskivtsi.
It should be noted that the Kamyansk community was one of the first to volunteer to take part in the development of the network of police stations. The community allocated funds for the repair of premises, furniture, office equipment, as well as a service car. International partners, together with the NPU, provided police officers with the necessary inventory, weapons and uniform.
The leadership of the Kamyansk community is convinced that the constant presence of police officers in the community has a positive effect on the state of law and order.
The duties of community police officers include patrolling the territory, guarding public order, going out for notifications and considering citizens' appeals. Locals already know their phone numbers and turn directly when police help is needed.
“Our service car is equipped with everything necessary so that we can help people in different situations as much as possible. The more we work, the more people trust us and the more effective our work is,” police say.
