Bukovyna will judge the organizers of the draft evasion scheme
In the summer of 2022, operatives of the Directorate of Strategic Investigations in the Chernivtsi region and investigators of the regional police uncovered the criminal scheme and established its organizers. For 3000 euros, citizens were promised a “solution to the issue” regarding non-recruitment to the ranks of the Armed Forces. The police detained one of the organizers of the scheme while receiving 1,500 euros of ill-gotten benefits.
Earlier, during the investigative actions, the facts of the transfer of 1000 and 500 euros were documented. The defendant was detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. In the course of the authorized searches, part of the funds received earlier as an illegal benefit was seized.
Both men were declared under Part 2 of Art. 369-2 (abuse of influence) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Under the procedural guidance of the Chernivtsi Regional Prosecutor's Office, the indictment was referred to the court.
