In Bukovina, border guards detained evaders with shots and stopped three Moroccan citizens
Border guards of the Chernivtsi detachment detained 7 violators who illegally tried to cross the state border.
Operational officers of the Chernivtsi detachment together with border guards detained 4 offenders. They were heading to the border of one of the mountain roads within the border strip in the Vyzhnytskyi district of the Chernivtsi region. To stop the illegal actions, the border guards had to carry out several warning shots up. Violators, residents of Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil and Chernivtsi regions, accompanied by a local resident of Putivl district, planned to illegally reach Romania.
In another area, the soldiers of the “Sokyrians” department detained three Moroccan citizens on the territory of Ukraine with documents indicating the crossing of the border from Moldova to Ukraine. Operational information about the appearance of strangers came from Moldovan colleagues.
All offenders were brought to the border units and brought to justice under Article 204-1 of the Code of Criminal Procedure “Illegal crossing or attempted illegal crossing of the state border of Ukraine”.
In addition, a notice was sent to the National Police regarding the detection of signs of a criminal offense under Art. 332 of the Criminal Code “Illegal transfer of persons across the state border of Ukraine”.
