At checkpoints of Kherson region, police detained 28 fugitive collaborators and those involved in the armed formations of the Russian Federation
Currently, 27 checkpoints operate in the de-occupied territories of the Kherson region. Together with police officers, employees of the State Border Guard Service, SBU, servicemen of the National Guard, the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Military Law and Order Service are on duty. They work ahead of time to prevent infiltration of settlements of sabotage and intelligence groups and prevent possible terrorist attacks.
Police check vehicles to prevent weapons, explosives, drugs and other prohibited items from entering the controlled territories, check individuals for possible cooperation with Russian occupiers. At checkpoints, representatives of the Defense Forces effectively counteract crime: during the inspections 28 people were detained, who were involved in the armed formations of the Russian Federation or engaged in collaborative activities.
13 wanted persons were identified, 8 were found missing, 9 wanted vehicles were detained, 4 cases of illegal weapons transportation were also documented.
Due to the proximity of the front line and constant shelling, the situation in the region remains tense, but controlled thanks to the joint actions of the police and all law enforcement agencies.
In addition, police officers continue to take care of the safety and social protection of citizens, deliver humanitarian goods from international funds to affected settlements, help citizens to evacuate from dangerous areas.
