On the banks of the Tisa border guards detained two “divers”
Two citizens of Ukraine were detained by the troops of the border service department “Vlok” of the Mukachevo detachment.
Around 2 a.m., while patrolling, the border outfit spotted unknown persons near the border intending to cross the Tisa River to reach neighboring Hungary.
The men were detained, both of them dressed in wetsuits. The handlers carefully wrapped their personal belongings, phone and changing clothes with tape. Searching for shallow water in the swift and full-flowing Tys, the offenders almost drowned.
The detainees drew up protocols on their commission of administrative offenses, provided for in Art. 204-1 (Illegal crossing or attempted illegal crossing of the state border of Ukraine) KUPAP, for the commission of which is provided for liability in the form of a fine from 3400 to 8500 hryvnias or administrative arrest for a period of up to fifteen days.
