In Avdiivka area, border guards and soldiers of the Armed Forces repelled the assault of the occupiers
The other day, in the Avdiyivka area, the border guards, together with the warriors of one of the mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces, repelled a prolonged attack by the overwhelming forces of the invaders.
The storming of the positions was preceded by massive artillery training and the use of chemical grenades. Ammunition with aerosols of irritating action was dropped by enemy forces from drones.
The direct attack began at night. To break through our defenses, the enemy threw infantry into battle, supported by tanks and armored vehicles. At the turn of the transition to attack with the fire of Ukrainian artillery, the equipment of the invaders was destroyed: 2 tanks, 1 infantry fighting vehicle and 1 armored personnel carrier.
The infantry of the aggressor country was eliminated by the defenders at close range with small arms and grenade launchers. In total, the battle lasted about ten hours. The enemy, due to tangible losses, was unable to succeed and retreated.
An estimated more than 30 occupiers were destroyed, and more than fifty were wounded.
