The Ministry of Internal Affairs determined the priorities of the anti-corruption strategy

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the State Anti-Corruption Program for 2023-2025 aimed at the implementation of the Anti-Corruption Strategy 2021-2025 regulated by the Law of Ukraine.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs was actively involved in the process of preparing the draft of this program. In particular, a number of suggestions and comments were made, which were fully taken into account by the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption.

Already on February 28 of this year, the Minister of Internal Affairs Igor Klymenko approved the Anti-Corruption Program of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for 2023-2025, in which the main directions are defined:

1. ensuring a systematic approach to preventing and combating corruption by improving legislation and regulations in accordance with the requirements of the time;

2. improvement of the process of providing service services;

3. prevention of corruption in the field of public procurement, strengthening the efficiency of management of financial and material resources, development of the internal audit system;

4. Personnel management. Implementation of measures to comply with the requirements of financial control, prevention and settlement of conflicts of interest;

5. cooperation with public and international organizations in the implementation of anti-corruption measures.

Active work is being carried out on the development of sectoral anti-corruption programs by all bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs system and ensuring the implementation of state policy in this area.

Minister Igor Klymenko entrusted the implementation of measures to prevent and combat corruption, control over their implementation to Deputy Minister Bohdan Drapyaty.

“Evaluation of the effectiveness of our work will largely depend on the quality of implementation of the State Anti-Corruption Program, and as a result will affect the level of trust of citizens in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs bodies. The position of the President, Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior is very clear, consistent and understandable — to develop a systemic mechanism for preventing and combating corruption. First of all, by digitizing public services, developing a clear legal framework for regulating the interaction of a representative of the government with a citizen. The inevitability of punishment for corrupt acts, and conducting a systemic analysis for the timely detection and elimination of corruption risks,” said Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Bohdan Drapyaty.
